My Reflection (Courses) - 1st Half

KRD

This subject is one of the most anticipated subject for me. I have been really waiting to learn this kind of subject. Finally, something that we can actually related directly to Chemical Engineering. In my perspective, this is the subject that we will be using the most since all of us will work in the reactor field one day. So, I hope I could learn this subject and implement it in my career later.

CPDIC

This subject looks as interesting as KRD subject in the beginning. But as time passes, it is getting harder and harder and I kind of like KRD more now. Hehe.. I am really having difficulties in learning this subject and I hope that I could turn this thing around.

PSLP

First of all, Dr Dzul is teaching us again. So, I kind of expecting a lot of objective questions and so on. But it is not the same anymore. I really thought that this subject are almost the same with HSE but it’s not. It is tougher than HSE but there are something that could be related between this subjects. The method that Sir Zul uses to teach us is really something and I really liked it because all of us are required to pass up our assignment at the end of each class. This enhances our understanding level a lot.

My Reflection (Board Game)

Board Game

The concept of our board game is based on the Monopoly game itself. We combined the knowledge of all the 3 subject that we learn this semester with this fun board game. I hope that this game will turn out as fun as it could ever get and everyone will enjoy playing it. I also learn a lot of new things during the making of this project such as how to use this interesting Prezi software to make a presentation and also how to develop the e-portfolio for the making of our websites.

KRD Based Questions in the Board Game

I have personally prepared some of the questions for this topic and it is quite bearable because there are both easy and hard questions included for this subject. But I am rather confused of whether I should include the calculation questions for this subject because I don’t think people want to spend all day to have fun by answering and calculating answer for questions.

CPDIC Based Questions in the Board Game

I’m scared about this question because me myself having a hard time to answer this kind of questions. I hope I don’t get this question while playing this game.

PSLP Based Questions in the Board Game

Only this subject possessed the questions that are almost understandable by everyone including myself because it don’t seems like hard at all if you have some idea on PSLP subject.

My Reflection (Courses) - 2nd Half

KRD

This subject is getting more interesting as time passes. The second half of this subject is continued by Dr. Tazli. It is really interesting because the method that are used to teach us are really really different compared to the other lectures. We are teach using a different approach such as by watching video online. This is really helpful as we can take our own sweet time to learn the topic and we can also watch the video over and over again. This helps us to really understand the topic better. And I kind of like this new way of learning.

CPDIC

This first half of this subject was really hard. It was really challenging to learn this subject and at the same time, interesting. I get to know that this subject is really important because the control system are one of the most important element in a plant. The second half was conducted by Madam Haslinda. The way she teaches us are really nice as she tends to make us really understand a topic before moving on to the next part. This really helps a lot in learning this subject. She also gives exercises and make us solve it in classes and this also helps in understanding this subject better. I hope I can cope up with this subject and understand the first half as well.

PSLP

As time passes, I get to know that this is also another important part in our learning journey. Dr. Zul really helps a lot since he gave a lot of exercises in class to make us understand more on certain topic. And the lab also exposes us to pretty much of what we will be facing in a plant and how to prevent such accidents to occur. We get to know how an accident occur and why it occur and how to prevent such accidents. This is really important because we will be dealing with a lot of people life here. So, I hope that I can implement this knowledge in the future jobs later.

My Reflection (Mini Project)

One of the most hardest and time consuming project that I’ve ever done, at first. But then after searching for a lot of new information, it is kind of interesting as we get to know what are the main element in creating a plant and reactor. I struggled a lot as this thing are really new to me and at first it is kind of hard to cope on but after getting the foundation for this project right, everything started to fall into place. It is also challenging to draw the process flow diagram as most of us had forgotten on how to use the AutoCAD software but after a lot of fail and youtubing, I get to refresh my memory of doing it and have drawn it successfully. It is also kind of hard to divide our time here because we as well have a lot of tests, lab reports and presentation but we get to learn on how to manage our time well to complete the given tasks. It get more interesting because we are in a mission to convert waste into wealth. I didn’t know there are quite a number of really awesome ways to change waste into something more useful in order to discover a new sustainable energy sources. I get to know more on how every element work in order for a plant to operate smoothly. This feels good because I know that this is the things that I will be handling with in our career later. This is kind of a heads-up for the upcoming challenge that we will be facing. I hope that I can implement all of this knowledge in my career later. Thanks also to the lecturer for the guidance and for being helpful in completing this project.
